Priyanshu Painyuli, a native of Bangalore, India, was born on Monday, August 29, 1988 (32 years of age, as of 2020). He studied at the Army Public School, Bangalore, and then he graduated from the SAE Institute, Bangalore. In 2010, Priyanshu moved to Mumbai from Bangalore to pursue a career in acting.
As a theatre artist, Priyanshu Painyuli started his acting career. Mahua (2012), in which he played the role of Bibal, was the first full-length play that he was part of. He later became part of the play Taj Express, the Musical, which toured widely across the globe to perform in the same year. He later acted in many other plays, such as The Way of Saraswati, Internal Affairs, A Friend’s story, etc.
In 2012, after improving his acting abilities as a theatre artist, he made his short film debut with ‘Bawdi’ in which he played Vishnu. He appeared later in different short films, such as Love at First Sight (2017), A Monsoon Date (2018), Line of Duty (2019), etc.
He made his online debut in 2015 with the Bang Baaja Baaraat show, in which he played the role of Wasim Shaikh. Later, in the Welcome to Mahabaleshwar (2016) and Soulmates episodes, he appeared (2019). When he starred in Netflix’s crime action thriller series Mirzapur 2, in which he played the role of Robin Agarwa, he rose to fame in 2020.
Priyanshu Painyuli made his Bollywood debut in 2016 with the film Rock on 2, in which he played the role of Brother Jiah. He appeared in the films Once Again and High Jack in 2018. Later that year, when he played the role of Bhavesh Joshi in the Bhavesh Joshi Superhero film, he came into the limelight. He subsequently starred in Upstarts on Netflix in 2019. Alongside Chris Hemsworth and Randeep Hooda, he made his Hollywood debut in 2020 with the film Extraction as Amir Asif.
