Enrique Lvarez Félix was a Mexican actor who appeared in telenovelas and films including The Monastery of the Vultures and therefore the House of the Pelican.
Personal and family life
Enrique Lvarez Félix was the son of Mara Félix and her first spouse, Enrique Lvarez Alatorre, a Mexican actor. After his parents divorced in 1938, his mother remained with her own parents until 1939, when she travelled to Mexico City with Enrique. Her ex-husband took Lvarez Félix shortly after.
When his mother married Jorge Negrete, he became Diana Negrete’s stepbrother.
Lvarez Félix never married, and according to Carlos Fuentes, a Mexican novelist and essayist, he was sexually dissatisfied and suffered from an Oedipus complex.
Biography
Enrique Lvarez Félix was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, on April 6, 1934.
Enrique was the only child of Mexican film actress Mara Félix and her first husband, travelling sales agent, engineer, and shoe manufacturer Enrique Lvarez Alatorre.In Canada, the United States, and France, he attended military colleges.
He received honours in political science from Mexico’s National Autonomous University and studied to be a diplomat, but at the age of 30, he felt that acting was his calling. In 1964, he made his film debut in Simón del Desierto, and he went on to appear in theatre and television .
Wild Heart (1966), Marisol (1996), and El retrato de Dorian Gray were among his films (1969). He died in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, on May 24, 1996.

Lvarez’s most recent acting appearance was in Marisol as “Leonardo” (1996). Erika Buenfil played the title character, Leonardo’s niece, and Claudia Islas played Leonardo’s wife, mparo. He died two days after his character, Leonardo, was killed off in an episode.
