Sunil Grover is an Indian actor and comedian. He is best known for his role as ‘Guthi’ in Comedy Nights With Kapil and ‘Dr Mashoor Gulati’ on The Kapil Sharma Show.

Early life:
Sunil Grover was born on 8 March 1977, in the Sirsa City of Haryana. Sunil did his schooling from Arya Vidya Mandir, Mandi Dabwali, Sirsa. He pursued his Bachelor’s degree in commerce from Guru Nanak College, Haryana and received a Master’s degree in Theatres from Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Career:
He also starred in India’s first silent comedy show, Gutur Gu from SAB TV, in the first 26 episodes. He gained huge popularity through the comedy show Comedy Nights with Kapil and was best known for his cartoon characters such as Gutthi, Rinku Bhabi, and Dr .Mashoor Gulati. But after a controversial fight with his co-actor Kapil Sharma, Sunil left the show.
Shortly after leaving Kapil’s show, Grover returned to television with Star Plus’ show Kanpur Wale Khuranas, with Aparshakti Khurana as the host. The plot of the show was similar to that of the Kapil Sharma Show, but it didn’t last long and soon took off.
In 2016, Gover made his debut in the Punjab film industry with Vaisakhi List and in the same year portrayed Shraddha Kapoor’s father in Baaghi.He made a comeback in the television industry in August 2020 with the show Gangs of Filmistan on Star Bharat, in which he played the role of Bhindi Bhai. The show ended in October 2020.
