Satish Kaushik is an Indian producer, actor, and film director primarily of Bollywood films. He is best known for portraying different roles like “calendar ” in Mr India, “Pappu Pager” in Deewana Mastana etc.

Early Life
Satish Kaushik was born in New Delhi on 13, April 1956. He was initially in Kirori Mal College, New Delhi and then after 6 years, he got enrolled in National School of Drama, New Delhi. He later went to Pune in Film and Television Institute of India. He started his career with theatres. His breakthrough performance in “Salesman Ramlal” (a Hindi play) as “Willy Loman” is widely talked about till date. Even after being a successful actor in today’s time, he still considers theatre, his heart and soul.
Career 
Satish Kaushik’s first project in Bollywood was the film called ” Masoom” in 1983 where he worked with Shekhar Kapoor as an assistant director. He also did a small part in it as an actor. He also wrote dialogues, assistant directed and acted in a classic cult film called “Jaane Bhi do Yaaron”. With this film, he proved how good of an actor he is. His very first film as a director, “Roop ki Raani Choro ka Raja” was one of the most highly budgeted films of that time but it failed miserably. His second film, “Prem” was also a major disaster in the box office. He finally got his first hit film in 1999 called “Hum Aapke Dil Mai Rehte Hai”. He went on directing many other films like “Tere Naam”, “Tere sung” etc. He continued acting as well with films like Mr India, Calander, Udta Punjab and his latest appearance was in a hit web-series, Scam 1992. He also launched a film company with Anupam Kher, who was his batchmate in college and a great friend, called Karol bagh productions. In 2015, he also starred in the lead role in SAB TV’s show named ” The Great Indian Family” in 2015. He was also the part of a series called ” Sumit Sab Sambhal Lega ” and garnered lots of praise for it as the leading character’s father. In the span of 30 years of his career in Bollywood, he has worked for more than 100 films and played different roles like the role of being an actor, assistant director, producer and in lot more areas in the TV industry as well. His latest film is “Kaagaz”.
Personal Life
Satish Kaushik is married to a woman called Mrs Shashi Kaushik. He also has a daughter named Vanshika Kaushik. Before her, he also had a son named Shanu Kaushik, who unfortunately died when he was just 2 years old. Satish also has 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Achievements
Satish Kaushik first received Film fare award for the movie ” Ram Lakhan ” in the category of best comedian in 1990. he received film again in the same category later for film, “Saajan Chale Sasural”. Satish also received a Screen Videocon Award for anchoring and co-writing a show called “Philips Top Ten.
