Kabita Banerjee. She spent the first three months of her life at home in West Bengal, then moved to Agarpara, Calcutta, where she lived with her businessman father.

She spent her first eighteen years there and completed her 10th standard at Ramakrishna Mission, Barrakpur, 12th standard of Ariyadaha Sarbamangala Vidyapith, then Vidyasagar College, and finally with honours in zoology at the University of Calcutta. a prominent person, Lord Nalinaksya Bhattacarya, and she had a daughter, Shirin Bhattacarya.
