The “Mastram” Season 1 Plot

During the 1980s, Rajaram, an aspiring author, lives in a lonely valley and writes a book that critics find boring. His friend takes him to a seedy theatre and introduces him to soft porn for the first time in his virtuous life. As he exits the theatre, a disgusted Rajaram is told by a friend that this is what the audience wants. He decides to jot down the stories he’s been thinking about from his past experiences while riding the bus home. Rani, who had tried to flirt and seduce him the day before, is the first character he creates for the storey in his head, “Khali bus ka suhana safar,” in which he and Rani had sex and had a great time… The editor enjoys the storey and compensates the narrator for it. While looking for the next character, he fell head over heels for a college girl named Madhu. During a conversation with a friend, he revealed that he had sex with a beautiful instructor named Rita and that Danda beat him for it. This is the inspiration for his second storey, “Master Ji Ka Danda.” When his marriage to Madhu is finalised, his mother’s uncle attempts to derail it by playing a prank on him.
Rajaram’s third-floor storey “mallu aunty ka malmal” is based on his next-door neighbor’s sex life. Rajaram agreed to marry Madhu that night after explaining the situation to her. Rajaram is in charge of both his erotica and his love life. When Rajaram meets Indulekha as a fan and Mastram’s friend, she recognises him as Mastram. The deal is done as long as Indulekha promises to keep Rajaram’s identity hidden. During Indulekha’s explanation of the problem, a photographer snapped a photo and published it in the newspaper. As a result, Mastram’s personal and romantic life suffers.
At Madhu’s friend’s house, both of her friends attempted to seduce Rajaram, but Rajaram walks away with the erotic story and its characters in his head. A mutual friend of Madhu and Rajaram, who had been looking for Rajaram to tell him about Madhu and her plan, finally meets Rajaram after Rajaram has left Madhu’s friend’s house, and after learning that Rajaram has passed the test without knowledge of Madhu’s plan, tells Rajaram the truth, which upsets Rajaram, and they apologise to each other for their previous actions. Mastram’s editor is approached by a producer who wants to meet Mastram’s first three characters. After Rajaram refuses to meet with the producer, the editor instructs him to write for him under the pen name Mastram.
Rajaram notices the ticket checker as he enters his compartment with Madhu and his other family. Later, the lady TC invites him to come inside her cabin because his ticket has expired, and she promises to rectify the situation and issue him with a new one. Lady T.C. introduces new characters and a new storyline to Rajaram. He is too tired when he finishes the storey to remember to hide the pages. Madhu wakes up at night, intrigued by what she sees on those pages. Rajaram’s name is “Mastram” to her.
