Kashmira Shah is an actress from India. Born in Bombay (now Mumbai), she is the granddaughter of Anjanibai Lolekar, a renowned Hindustani classical singer. She has appeared in several films in Hindi and Marathi. Shah is half Maharashtrian and half Gujarati. In the first season of the Indian version of the reality Television program Big Brother, Bigg Boss, in 2006, Kashmira was a leading celebrity contender. In 2007, she also participated in the Nach Baliye dance couple reality show with her partner, Krushna Abhishek.
She directed the fantasy comedy Marney Bhi Do Yaaron in 2019, created by both of them, starring herself and her husband. In 2020, Bigg Boss was seen helping her sister-in-law Arti Singh in season 13 and not as a contestant.
Career
She launched her career as a model at the age of 16. She did numerous modeling assignments at the age of 23 and became a well-known model.
In 1993 she was the winner of her college’s Miss University World and represented India in a beauty pageant in South Korea and retained the title in 1993.
In the Telugu film, ‘Intlo Illalu Vantintlo Priyuralu’ in 1996, she received her first offer as a dancer. She has acted in a number of well-known Hindi albums, including ‘Jawani se Jung ye choli meri ab tang’: The Reality (1999); ‘Dil ko hazar baar roka’ from ‘Murder’, and Ban Than’ from ‘Kurukshetra’ (2000)
Controversy
In 2018, after Kashmera’s statement on the social media site, Krushna, Govinda, and Govinda’s mom, Sunita Ahuja, caused a lot of misunderstandings. “There was a tweet. He (Govinda) wasn’t going to come to my show, The Drama Company. I talked to mami (Govinda’s wife Sunita) about it and tried to tell them that you guys have gone to Kapil Sharma’s show and you need to arrive at my show as well. People are asking me. After which they came and it was a brilliant show. But then, Kashmera tweeted something inaccurate for my sister. Govinda assumed it was for them. I attempted to clarify, but Mami got very upset. Then I chose not to communicate with Kashmera and Mami. And after that, it was the first birthday of my kid. They came for it, and then I got upset. My mother has brought up Govinda Ji, so I have all the rights to be upset with him”.
