Joseph James Rogan popularly is known as Joe Rogan was born on August 11th, 1967, on a Friday in Newark, New Jersey, US. His grandfather was the decision-maker of the move to Newark, New Jersey, US. Joe Rogan is one-quarter of Irish and three-quarters of Italian lineage. His birth parents were Joseph Rogan and Mrs.
Rogan, his father Joseph Rogan was a retired policeman in Newark, his mom Mrs. Rogan (her name stays out the public eye) was a free-spirited woman, she was an alcoholic and consumed cannabis products, she had filed for a divorce when Joe Rogan was five years old, as she stated that her husband was abusive.
Joe Rogan has mentioned in his interviews that he didn’t have a healthy relationship with his father; he didn’t have many memories with his father and had never spoken to him after the divorce, but he described that the few glimpses of his father were full of abuse and violence;
he described his father as an exponent of toxic masculinity which paved way for Joe throwing punches whenever he felt like. Joe Rogan witnessed his father beat up numerous people including his mother and his cousin and went by the motto of, “boys shouldn’t cry”.

After moving to San Francisco when he was eleven, his mother remarried a hippie guy who studied computer science before doing a degree in architecture. While living with his step-dad he realized that this man was the complete opposite of his father,
this was a huge impact on his mindset and his perception towards things had changed, he had humbled down and got him into comedy and shaped him into the man he is today. He had only one sibling, who he never mentions about and she decided to stay out of the audience as she didn’t like Joe Rogan terming their father as “abusive”.

Joe Rogan and his mom along with his step-dad moved to Gainesville, Florida when he was still eleven. The family settled right outside Boston in Newton Upper Falls, Massachusetts, where Rogan enrolled in Newton South High School.
He participated in Little League Baseball but developed a liking for martial arts in his early teens, he was terrified of being called a ‘loser’ which motivated him and started gravitating towards it. At the age of fourteen, he took up karate and, then after a year he started taekwondo and became a taekwondo state champion and an instructor. By the time he was nineteen, he won the U.S open taekwondo championship.
Soon after he stopped fighting due to his headaches and feared that it would get worse. He practiced amateur kickboxing. He later attended the University of Massachusetts but dropped out early and stayed in Boston till the age of twenty-four.

Joe Rogan never planned on doing standup comedy, his initial plan was to focus on kickboxing but his friends persuaded him as they enjoyed his jokes and imitations. He has other jobs to keep him financially stable which include teaching martial arts at Boston University, delivering newspapers, working as a driver for a private investigator, etc. His first open-mic was at the Stitches comedy club, later in 1990, he moved to New York to be a full-time comedian.
Joe Rogan made his first public appearance in 1994, on Fox’s sitcom, ‘Hardball’, where he played the role of a professional baseball player. In 1995, he has given another role as a handyman/electrician at the NBC sitcom, ‘NewsRadio’.
He shot a pilot episode of ‘Overseas’. In 1997 he worked as a post-fight interviewer for the mixed martial arts league, UFC, but after a few years, he quit as the wage was low.
In 2001 he was offered the job of a color commentator for the UFC and later offered the role of being the host for a stunt game called ‘Fear Factor ’, he worked with them till 2006. Due to ‘Fear Factor,’ many new opportunities opened up for Joe Rogan, he was part of an American sitcom called ‘Just Shoot Me’ and co-hosted the fifth season of ‘ The Man Show ’.
He often hosted UFC shows while working on his stand-ups. He worked in starred in several movies which including Very Merry Muppet Christmas (2002), Zookeeper (2011), Here Comes the Boom (2012), and Bright (2017). He worked on his comedy specials; his first stand-up set was ‘I’m Gonne to Be Dead Some Day’ in august 2000. In 2006 during the comedy tours, JoeShow web series was put upon his website. He introduced a free podcast with his friend Brian Redban and it went live in December 2009. The podcast received quite the fame and hit the top 100 on iTunes.

Joe Rogan had met Jessica Ditzel in 2009 at a bar where she worked as a cocktail waitress after the death of her father.
Jessica Lynne Schimmel, the daughter of a popular comedian Bob Schimmel was romantically linked to Kevin Conner and had her first baby girl Kayja with him who is now the age of twenty-four.
When they first started dating it was kept on the low, the public wasn’t aware of the couple. After crossing paths with Joe Rogan, she started working as a TV show producer. Joe Rogan and Jessica Ditzel exchanged vows in 2009 and Joe became Kayja Nichole Rose Rogan’s step-dad. The couple has two kids, thirteen-year-old Lola Rogan who was born before the couple got married, and then eleven-year-old Rose Rogan the youngest addition to the family was brought into this world after their marriage.
In his podcast, he had mentioned that Lola Rogan took upon sports just like him and Kayja had inherited the talent of music from her father which she continues to pursue. Joe Rogan tries to keep his family out of the limelight but at the same time, he is active on his social media and podcasts.

Joe Rogan supports the authorized use of cannabis and believes it has many pros. Moreover his step-dad introduced drugs and cannabis to him. He also supports the use of psilocybin mushrooms, LSD and DMT toward the inspection and improvement of consciousness. Rogan has an engrossment in starvation and uses an isolation tank.
He has concluded that meditation in isolation tanks have helped him to inspect the nature of consciousness as well as upgrade his conduct in different physical and mental activities and well-being.
Joe Rogan had gained fame through his hard work and determination. From a non-stable childhood to a successful comedian, he has achieved a lot through his entire journey.
