Career
She debuted as a member of the girl group Wonder Girls in February 2007. Later, Hyuna joined the girl band 4Minute after leaving JYP Entertainment. Her parents took her out of the group in July because of health issues, including persistent gastroenteritis and dizziness. When 4Minute made their debut in June 2009, they soon became one of the most well-known girl groups in South Korea.
In 2010, Hyuna began a solo career with what she calls “performance-oriented music.” Change her debut solo track, debuted at #2 on the Gaon Digital Chart in South Korea.
She was introduced as the first member of Cube Entertainment’s girl group 4minute on May 14, 2009. With the release of their first digital song, “Hot Issue,” the group made its public debut on June 15. On November 24, 2011, it was revealed that Hyuna will make her coed duet debut in Trouble Maker with Jang Hyunseung.
4minute’s dissolution was announced by Cube Entertainment on June 13, 2016, after all of the members (apart from Hyuna) had chosen not to sign contract extensions.
