Ali Abbas Zafar, one of the known film-makers in Indian Cinema is collaborating with the Nawab Saif Ali Khan for his new and OTT platform introduction(debut) project which was formerly titled as Tandav, later renamed to Dilli. The series is highly awaited among the audience having reckoned expectations from the maker.
The series is going to be political web drama completely based on the edge of Indian Politics, roughly similar but in keeping with the American Thriller Series “House Of Cards”. The series will be a fictional political drama going to showcase the talents of well-known actors like Saif Ali Khan and Dimple Kapadia as the protagonists of the same.
Saif Ali Khan’s character is of a politician having the vision to be the Prime Minister of India and is progressing towards the path to become one. Moreover, the series will focus on the connection between the cops of Uttar Pradesh and the Dalit Politicians and other portrayals of characters and the leading roles to be performed by Dimple Kapadia as another politician, Sunil Grover, Mohommad Zeeshan Ayyub, Purab Kohli, and Amyra Dastur.
The series is assumed to be revolving around the number of 10 episodes in total and Saif Ali Khan, when asked about his upcoming and in-the-talks series Dilli, he stated, “It is a show based on politics and is set on a massive scale. I don’t want to use American examples, but it’s along the lines of House Of Cards, although set within the framework of Indian politics. The plot takes into account various factions like Dalit politics and UP cops and the whole nexus between them”. “My character is Chanakya-like, in the guise of a youth leader who comes from a privileged background and aspires to become the Prime Minister.” He further added.

The makers have not made any official announcement regarding the release date of the series but many of the online portals have reportedly stated that the series will be premiered in January of the subsequent year i.e. 2021.
