An adolescent and straightforward Dharmendra was not at all concerned whether he earned no money, a little money, or a lot! According to him, his goal was very simple — one flat and one Fiat (car)!. When he came to Bombay — that’s what Mumbai was known as then — he only had his dreams ahead of him. He was an inexperienced villager, with no idea of acting. He wasn’t even aware [that] he was good-looking until he began getting movie offers because of his good looks. When he arrived at Bombay, he was stunned by the lifestyles of the stars — it was far different from what he had anticipated back in Punjab!’
But the young ambitious Dharmendra was so much focused on being a tribute to the Bollywood society and started working soo hard for his career that today many young actors in the Bollywood have made him their role model to follow and he is known today as” THE MAN WHO SAW TOMORROW “.
