Directed by Daniel Stam and released in 2010, The Last Exorcism is an American supernatural horror movie staring Partick Fabian, Ashley Bell, Iris Bahr and Louis Herthum.
It’s about a slightly odd evangelical minister, who agrees to participate in a documentary that captures his last exorcism and exposes the fraudulent activites in his ministry.
The film was a major box office success, grossing over $67 million, and has a current Rotten Tomato rating of 72%.
24. May The Devil Take You (2018)
Released in 2018, May The Devil Take You is an Indonesian horror film, written and directed by Timo Tjahjanto.
The film follows a young girl, Alfie, who’s trying to figure out her father’s illness.
This leads her to visit his old house where she ends up stumbling on a lot more than she bargained for.
The film was officially released by Netflix on 9 August 2018 and the sequel, Chapter 2, was released later the following year.

They’re tasked with ridding the house of the evil presence, but this proves more difficult than they thought; as they discover the house has an evil past.
The film was praised by critics for its screenplay, direction, atmosphere and musical score, and went on to gross over $319 million worldwide.
Its current rating on Rotten Tomatoes is 85%.

Insidious is an American-Canadian supernatural horror film written by Leigh Whannel and directed by James Whan.

The film follows the parents of a young boy, who bizarrely enters into a comatose state and begins to become possessed by entities from an astral dimension.

It’s based around the Jewish legend of the same name and follows a woman as she tries to save her community from a deadly plaque and foreign invaders.

The film is about a troubled musical prodigy who runs into the new star pupil of her former school, not by a coincidence; which then leads to a sinister sequence of events that have tragic consequences.
