Early life
Amar Upadhyay took birth in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, on the Date 1 August 1976. His family moved to Mumbai during his childhood, and he grew up in Malad, Mumbai. He currently resides in Mumbai, Versova.
From Dhanamal High School, Kandivali West, Mumbai, Upadhyay did his schooling. He was always a keen learner, and from Bombay Institute of Technology Worli, Mumbai, he went to try out his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering. During his college studies, he began modeling.
Personal life
The couple is blessed with one son named Aryaman Upadhyay and one daughter named Chenab Upadhyay. Amar is married to Hetal Upadhyay. Like him, his children excel in Taekwondo, too.
Career
Amar used to pose for different magazines, but his appearance in the Stardust magazine in 1994 was initially noticed. This led him to his first appearance in the Dekh Bhai Dekh series, and for his acting career, it turned out to be a stepping stone.
TV series such as Arzoo, Suhana Safar, Tulsi, and Mehndi Tere Naam Ki was followed by his initial presentation. The breakthrough for Amar came from the 2002 show Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, where Mihir played the male lead role.
Upadhyay returned to the TV screen after taking a break for almost 2 years with a show called Chand Ke Paar Chalo and also contributed to other shows called Saath Nibhana Sathiya and Ek Dewaana Tha.
In 2011, Upadhyay also took part in the reality television show, Big Boss Season 5. He was also part of many Bollywood movies, such as Dhoondte Reh Jaoge, Dahsaht, Censor, Dhund: The Fog, Jodi Kya Banayi Wah Wah Ramji, LOC Kargil, etc.
